Facebook is a country

The Economist published an interesting article comparing Facebook to a sovereign nation. David Cameron, Britain’s Prime Minister, asked Mark Zuckerberg for input about being responsible for many millions of people. “Facebook is a device that allows people to get together and control their own destiny, much like a nation-state,” says David Post, a law professor at Temple University.

Well Facebook is one of the most organized social media website. I think in few years it will exceed the number of China population. Still, I feel sad that for the fact that they changed their privacy policy did not affect their popularity. I personally mad at them for that and wished people care not only because their change exposed their members privacy but because Facebook can decide anytime to go further for the “next step”, why would not they? They still have the statement “we have the right to change our policy anytime”.
